How many places in North Dakota can you find great pies?

A BUTTERNUT SQUASH EXPERINECE? I was so excited last summer (Summer 2022) to plant a garden on my dad's farm near Dickinson, North Dakota. I invested approximately $300 on seeds and plants that I could grow in the garden at my dad's farm. While the idea of planting a garden was a great choice, I maybe had a misstep with what I chose to prioritize in my garden. I grew a lot of butternut squash. And, I mean a lot. It wasn't too long into the summer when the butternut squash plants completely took over. I soon found myself having to invent a lot of recipes with butternut squash. Perhaps that, more than anything, defines the North Dakota recipe. We use whatever is available. I soon found myself making the best pie I had ever made before. It is the butternut squash pie shown above. I made mini caramel roles to decorate the top. They served to create a bit of texture in my dish.

WHERE DOES THE WAFFLE RECIPE FIT IN NORTH DAKOTA CUISINE? Waffles always make me feel nostalgic; waffles take me back to my childhood where I grew up on a small farm with many siblings. My favorite food at that time was a good waffle. I always felt full eating waffles. I would smother them in peanut butter and pour lots and lots of syrup on them. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE NORTH DAKOTA WAFFLE EXPERIENCE: There are a couple of brilliant places in North Dakota to frequent for your next travel. I would recommend starting in Fargo, North Dakota. I lived in Fargo for about six years. While living there, I missed out on a restaurant than I later discovered upon my many returns to this great city. That restaurant Black Coffee and Waffle Bar .
